EU's Trade Situation in 2015

In 2015, from January to November, The EU 15 countries’ imports & exports volume was USD 3986.78 billion, down 12.9% by year according to Eurostat. The exports volume was USD 2036.75 billion, down 11.8% and imports volume was USD 1950.03 billion, down 13.9%. The trade surplus was USD 86.72 billion, up 98.4%.

In November, The EU 15 countries’ imports & exports value was USD 350.19 billion, down 10.0% by year. Exports value was USD 179.63 billion, down 11.1% and imports value was USD 170.55 billion, down 8.8%. The trade surplus was USD 9.08 billion, down 39.2%.

From January to November, Imports & exports value of 2015 between The EU 15 countries and China was USD 480.42 billion, down 7.5%. The EU 15 countries’ exports value was USD 163.84 billion, down 13.8%. It accounted for 8.0% of The EU 15 countries’ total exports, down 0.2%. The EU 15 countries’ imports from China reached USD 316.58 billion, down 3.9%. It accounted for 16.2% of total imports, up 1.7%.

The EU 15 countries’ trade deficit with China was USD 152.74 billion from January to November, up 9.7%. China is the largest deficit source for The EU 15 countries.

Up to November, China has become the second largest market for The EU 15 countries’ exports and the largest import source for The EU 15 countries.
