Prices of Farm Produce in 36 Large and Medium-Sized Cities Continued to Fall

According to the monitoring of MOFCOM, the prices of farm produce in 36 large and medium-sized cities continued to fall, and prices of production means in circulation stopped falling and picked up last week (April 27-March 3).

Last week, with sufficient supply in the vegetable market, the average price of 18 vegetables was down 2.5% week on week, among which the prices of egg-plant, lettuce and cabbage decreased by 13.8%, 13.1% and 9.7% respectively week on week. The price of meat fluctuated slightly, with the price of pork up 0.4% week on week, and price of beef down 0.5% and of mutton down 0.6%. The prices of eggs and poultry fluctuated slightly, with the price of eggs down 0.5% week on week, and that of chicken up 0.4%. The price of grain fluctuated slightly, while the price of rice down 0.2% week on week, and that of flour up 0.3%. The price of edible oil remained steady, with the price of peanut oil remaining the same as that of the previous week. The price of soybean oil was down 0.1% week on week, while that of rapeseed oil was up 0.1%. The price of aquatic product was up 0.4%, with that of large hairtail, small yellow croaker and grass carp up 1.7%, 1.6% and 1% respectively.

Last week, the price of nonferrous metal was up 1.5% compared with that of the previous week, with nickel, tin, zinc, lead, copper and aluminum up 6.6%, 3.3%, 2.7%, 2.3% 1.4% and 0.3% respectively. The price of rubber was up 1.5%, while the prices of natural rubber and synthetic rubber were up 2.1% and 0.7% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials was up 0.5%, with both sulfuric acid and purified petroleum benzine up 0.7%. The price of chemical fertilizer was up 0.1%, with urea and NPK up 0.2% and 0.1% respectively, and both potassium chloride and DAP down 0.1%. The price of steel was down 0.2%, with galvanized sheet and common cold rolling sheet down 0.7% and 0.5% respectively. The price of coal was down 0.3%, among which the prices of steam coal, anthracite and coking coal were down 0.4%, 0.2% and 0.2% respectively.
