US Commerce Department to Take Anti-Dumping Investigation on Chinese Melamine Imports

The U.S. department of commerce announced that they would take anti-dumping countervailing investigation on Chinese melamine imports on Nov.3, this investigation may lead the United States imposing punitive tariffs on these products that China exports to the United States market.

In recent years, there once to be a huge impact on melamine production giants in Europe because the improved Chinese domestic melamine production technology has greatly reduces the melamine industry production cost.   

According to an announcement by ministry of commerce, Chinese melamine products that exported to the us is $14.05 million in 2013 survey period, the products involved in the United States under the customs tariff number in the main column in 2933.61.0000 shipments.

In the face of such reality, the only choice wo have is to improving domestic standards and the regulatory means to reach the line with international standards.
