Four companies have confirmed they will be exhibiting for the first time, increasing the breadth of services offered, and deepening the show's penetration of two key sectors – chemicals and food.

New exhibitors, Woodman Hill and Selden Research, are joining returning companies Grotech Production, Techtron and Primo Manufacturing, extending Contract Pack's footprint in the chemicals sector – the UK's top manufacturing export earner.

Those looking to outsource their food manufacturing and filling projects will find plenty of expertise at the show with another new exhibitor, Kapak Foods, joining the ranks of Alexir Co-Packers and Unette Nutrition. This is seen as another strategic development as the food and drink industry is the single largest manufacturing sector in the UK, with a turnover of £76 billion.

Contract Pack already has strong representation within the pharmaceutical and healthcare field, with AE Adams, Chester Medical Solutions, Flexible Medical Packaging, Honeywood and PrimePac Solutions all confirmed to exhibit.? It has also attracted new exhibitor, Enham Packaging & Storage, which works across a mix of sectors.

Contract Pack has been supported by the British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association (BCMPA) since 2008.

Featuring more than 30 exhibitors, it is? the UK's only event for those looking to outsource their processing, packing, fulfilment or logistics operations.? For Rodney Steel, BCMPA chief executive, the show is ideal for the association's members? because they increasingly need to reach decision makers with a remit which goes beyond packaging – and the show delivers such people.

"One of the things that really excites me about easyFairs' NEC event is that it has developed into much more than just a packaging show.? The same can be said about the 'contract packing industry', which now offers much more than just packing!"

DHL Supply Chain's presence at Contract Pack illustrates this point; it has exhibited at the show for a number of years, recognising that it delivers visitors looking for logistics as well as packing services.

Similarly Techtron Manufacturing, another long-standing exhibitor, does much more than simply packaging. It manufactures, blends and packages liquid based product for retail, industrial, janitorial and speciality chemical markets.

This company's latest developments designed to expand its capability even more will debut at Contract Pack as David Shepherd, the company's commercial manager explains: "New for 2014 we are investing in a new 4-head flexible filling line, which will significantly increase our capacity on a variety of packs from 50ml bottles to 5L Jerry cans.? The show will be a great platform for both existing and potential new customers to hear more about these developments."

In addition to these critical markets, Contract Pack will feature a host of companies experienced in packing all types of goods in a plethora of packaging formats, with services extending to pick & pack, fulfilment, storage and distribution.

The 2014 event will be one of seven co-located shows, including Packaging Innovations, Ecopack, Packtech, Print Innovations, Labelling Innovations and Converting Innovations.
