US Rig Count Decreased by Six to 1,860, Following a Nine-Rig Increase The Week Before

Baker Hughes reported that for the week ending June 6 the US rig count decreased by six to 1,860, following a nine-rig increase the week before.? The rig count is still up by 95 from 1,765 rigs during the same week a year ago.? The gas rig count decreased by six to 320, whereas the oil rig count stayed neutral at 1,536.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased in the week ending June 6, by 16 to reach 214 following a 44-rig increase the previous week.? The Canadian rig count is now up 62 from 152 rigs during the same week a year ago.
