Feng Hsin Announced to Remain Its 209 Wire Rod Prices Unchanged on September 2ND

It's reported that Feng Hsin, one of the major wire rod makers in Taiwan announced to remain its 209 wire rod prices unchanged on September 2nd. Although Feng Hsin hiked its rebar and scrap price by NT$200/ton for this week, the company didn't increased the 209 wire rod prices. Also, this is the third time that Feng Hsin kept the 209 wire rod prices flat in a row in past three months. After the announcement, its prices for 1008A are at NT$20,800/ton and actual dealing prices are at NT$19,800~NT$20,300/ton. Besides, its prices for A36round bars with diameters of 51mm~72mm are at NT$20,400/ton; those for its S45C round bars with diameters of 13mm~100mm are at NT$21,500/ton. According to understanding, Feng Hsin previous planned to increase the prices due to high raw material costs. However, the company decided to remain the prices flat in order to avoid big price difference with China origin, in considering of future zero import duty from China sources.
