The global 40W equivalent LED bulb ASP dipped slightly by 1.3% in March to US$14.90, with the price decrease most evident in China, according to LEDinside. The ASP for 60W equivalent LED bulbs did not fluctuate and remained at US$20.80.
In China, the ASP for 40W products dropped 14.7% in March on the back of increased exchange rates. Existing products also dipped in pricing. US 40W equivalent LED bulb ASP decreased as well in March, sliding 7.6%, the firm added.
In terms of 60W products, the ASP in Japan declined 14.8% to US US$19.20 in March. Existing product prices mostly dipped slightly, and sales for a portion of high priced products temporarily ceased, such as Sharp's 10.4W bulb priced at US US$32.40, noted LEDinside.
