An engine or motor is a machine designed to convert one form of energy into mechanical energy. It's applied to transportation applications such as cars and aircraft.
In recent years, China's motor engine industry witnessed explosive development accompanying by the development automobile industry. At the same time, the demand for parts for use solely/principally with the motor engines (hereafter called motor engine parts) is growing.

The export data of this period showed that Guangdong, Jiangsu and Tianjin were the main regions where China's motor engine parts export enterprises located. Guangdong topped the list of export value, followed by Guangdong and Shandong. The three regions' export value accounted for 42.8% of total motor engine parts export value.

From January to September in 2015, major export market for China's motor engine parts were America, Japan, Germany, Korea, Mexico, Vietnam, Romania, India, England and Hong Kong. America was principal target market for China's export. The value of motor engine parts China exported to America accounted for 22.4% of its total export.
In China's ten largest motor engine parts export markets, export value to Romania increased 1175.6% with a fastest growth.

In the first half of 2015, Germany topped the list of engine motor parts importing countries, followed by America, Japan, China and Mexico. Germany's imports value of engine motor parts was USD 6878 million, fell 15.7% year on year. China ranked 4th in the list and the import value was USD 2559 million.
