The weak rebar selling price caused Taiwanese steel rebar manufacturers' sales revenue to drop in May as well. Taiwanese Feng Hsin has announced its sales revenue in May was NTD 2.468 billion, decreasing by 7.29% month on month and 25.6% year on year. Feng Hsin said the dropping international scrap and rebar prices have caused its shipping quantity to drop from 138,000 tons in April to become less than 130,000 tons in May. Also, Hai Kwang Enterprise, the major rebar mill in Southern Taiwan, has announced that its sales revenue in May has decreased by 12% from a month ago.
