Sector of national architectural departments also issued “Technical Regulation for Glass Curtain Wall Project” in the first half year, mandatory usage of ultra-clear glass will be popularized in skyscrapers from early 2013. Glass curtain wall has become essential for skyscrapers, which can effectively reduce weight of the building. The tempered glass needs homogeneous treatment to reduce self-destruction rate, which also increase s cost of the product at the same time. However, the homogeneous treatment is difficult to test by machinery and naked eye. The use of ultra-clear glass can help avoid the problem. The lower self-destruction rate of ultra-clear glass will also guarantee safety of the buildings. According to regulation of “Technical Regulation for Glass Curtain Wall Project”, mandatory usage of ultra-clear glass will be popularized in skyscrapers from next year, relevant departments will also take testing work of current high-rise buildings.
