Tupelo Furniture Market Honored The Market's Silver Anniversary

TUPELO,Miss.—Top 100 retailer Grand Home Furnishings was the recipient of the Tupelo Furniture Market's Buyer Appreciation Award at a ceremony Thursday night that also honored the market's silver anniversary.

Roanoke,Va.-based Grand Home is one of the largest furniture chains in the South,with 17 stores in Virginia,Tennessee and West Virginia,with estimated 2011 sales of$110.2 million.

The award is presented semiannually by the market to retailers with outstanding achievements who are longtime supporters of the show here.

As part of the anniversary's celebration,V.M.Cleveland,Tupelo Market chairman and CEO,Ed Meek,TFM founder,and Harry Martin,Community Development Foundation president emeritus,also were honored.Also recognized were family members of the late Lynn Davis,who joined forces with Cleveland in 1993.
