Reportedly, the Korean rebar mils have completed the price negotiation for April with the local construction companies. The contract prices for rebar with diameter of 10mm are at KRW750,000/ton in cash. In fact, the Korean rebar mills sought to hike prices by KRW10,000~KRW20,000/ton but they failed due to weak sales performance of construction companies and lower scrap prices. At present, the scrap prices have declined by KRW30,000~KRW40,000/ton from a month ago.
