Gazprom Completes The Study of The Second Stage of Yamal-Europe Natural Gas Pipeline

It is reported that the Russian energy giant Gazprom planned to complete the study of the second stage of its Yamal-Europe natural gas pipeline by October this year. The new pipeline project will expects to transport 15 billion cubic meters/year of Russian gas through Belarus to Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. However, the company has not received any product details but the products may include 1.5 million metric tons of large-diameter pipes using a standard and 1,420mm diameter and 22mm wall thickness respectively. In the meantime, the construction for the project will not start before 2018.
