NEC Display Solutions Has Obtained 510(K) Clearance From FDA for Multisync Md210c2 Monitor

NEC Display Solutions of America, a provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, has obtained 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its MultiSync MD210C2 medical-grade monitor.

The 21.3-inch, two-megapixel medical diagnostic display has been designed for displaying and viewing of digital images for diagnosis by trained physicians.

Designed to meet the demanding needs of healthcare facilities requiring consistent and accurate medical imaging using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), the LED-backlit MultiSync MD210C2 features factory calibration to the DICOM standard for luminance.

The system features an ambient light sensor which automatically adjusts the display's brightness based on existing lighting conditions.

The monitor also features 14-bit internal lookup table that provides for high-definition rendering of color images and crisper display of even the most delicate shadings.

It has DVI-D and DisplayPort inputs and USB hub (one up, two down).

NEC Display Solutions professional desktop and medical displays product manager Art Marshall noted the company is grateful for receipt of FDA certification for its MD210C2 medical diagnostic display.

"We are committed to delivering the most innovative products to the medical community, and today's FDA certification supports that goal," Marshall added.

The MD210C2 medical diagnostic display features GammaCompMD QA software for worry-free calibration and conformance testing to the DICOM standard.

MD210C2 medical diagnostic display comes with a five-year parts and labor warranty with advanced overnight exchange.
