Film, TV and video production company DMI Productions is delivering a dollop of Christmas nostalgia this year with a festive video made entirely out of LEGO.

The 90-second feature combines stop motion, clever graphics and a mix of new and vintage LEGO pieces that the team has collected over the years.

Spreading the message of festive cheer, albeit on a Minifigure scale, the video follows last year’s offering which featured a chain reaction of retro toys and garnered over half a million views.

“We are pretty confident that this video is going to delight LEGO fans and AFOLs alike this season,” said a DMI Productions spokesperson.

Deej Johnson, DMI Productions’ Creative Consultant, said: “LEGO is phenomenal. As a toy, it captures the imagination of every age group... But that's just the start.

"When it's lit well and filmed with care it just looks incredible. As LEGO fans, we wanted to create something truly magical that other LEGO-lovers would want to watch over and over again, discovering new secrets or hidden gems each time.

“The team worked above and beyond to ensure every passionate idea they had was incorporated – the sheer love for the project is absolutely evident in the end result.

"The video's director, Jasmin Wing, was comparatively new to LEGO at the beginning of the project. By the end, though, she was practically an expert: she's had a lifetime's LEGO experience in a fortnight.”
