The Expansion Includes Doubling The Size of Freezer and Cooler Space at Dallas Facility

KeHE Distributors is set to expand its warehouse space at its distribution centers in the US, as part of its efforts to cater to the increasing growth in its Fresh and Frozen product categories.

The company is also deploying technology and infrastructure enhancements that will allow it to improve quality in its distribution centers. The expansion will be implemented in facilities in Dallas Texas, St. Augustine Florida, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Romeoville, Illinois.

The expansion includes doubling the size of freezer and cooler space at Dallas facility; increasing frozen capacity by up to four times and doubling cooler space at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida facility.

KeHE's distribution center in Romeoville, Illinois will increase its non-ambient space by 30%, which will allow the company to expand its bulk food product offering and begin shipping products from the warehouse.

KeHE president and CEO Brandon Barnholt said, "KeHE will continue to prudently invest in infrastructure and technology that enable our teams across North America to deliver superior products and services. These investments align KeHE's facility infrastructure with the company's rapid growth."

KeHE Distributors, based in Romeoville, Illinois, provides natural & organic, gourmet & multicultural and fresh products to more than 33,000 retail outlets throughout North America.
