LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Lextar Electronics has posted revenues of NT$750 million (US$26 million) for July 2011, decreasing 1.4% sequentially and 22% on year. January-July revenues stood at NT$4.763 billion, up 3.2% from a year earlier. Of July revenues, nearly 70% came from LED backlight units (BLUs) and the remaining from LED lighting products, Lextar indicated. While revenues from BLUs shrank significantly due to weak demand, revenues from LED lighting hiked by more than 50% on month, Lextar pointed out. Source: www.digitimes.com
