As part of the reinvestment strategy, the company said it has built the new facility in a bid to expand the production capacity.

The new plant, which includes around 203,400ft2 building and modern equipment, will replace the company's existing Rhinelander facility.

Printpack has taken the support of Wisconsin Governor's Office, Oneida County Economic Development and Wisconsin Economic Development to build the new project.

Printpack chairman and CEO Dennis Love said the new facility will provide the best technology available in the industry for the company's Rhinelander associates.

"Printpack has been pleased to be a part of the Rhinelander community for over 25 years, and we are excited about the new investment we are making there," Love added.

The company has invested $72m in the new plant in June 2012. The building's 'brick and mortar' portion is expected to involve an expense of around $32m, and the remaining $40m will be used to install new technology.

Established in 1956, Printpack produces flexible and specialty rigid packaging.

With headquarters in Atlanta of Georgia, the company operates 25 manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, Poland and China.

Non-profit corporation Oneida County Economic Development serves as an economic development coordinator for all of Oneida County, while Wisconsin Economic Development is a public-private entity, which will lead economic development efforts for the state.
