Arvind Plans to Hike Revenue of Its Retail Store Format

Ahmedabad based Arvind Ltd plans to hike revenue of its retail store format, Arvind Store, to reach Rs 600 crore in the next six years.

Arvind Store CEO PS Rajiv expects revenue of the retail format to total Rs 150 crore in the current fiscal year and increase four times to Rs 600 crore by 2020.

Speaking at the inauguration of its Kolkata store, Rajiv said the sales growth will come from addition of more than 400 stores by 2020 to the current store count of 142.

“Most of the expansion in store numbers would come from tier II, III, IV & V towns and cities, as spending in stores in these towns and cities is equivalent to stores in metros,” he said.

In addition to customised tailoring facilities, Arvind Store also offers apparel brands from the Arvind stable like Flying Machine, Arrow, Flying Machine, etc. (AR)
