Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe Introduces New Food Options

Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe’s has launched an expanded menu strategy in Australia.

Guylian says the new menu is focused on providing innovative Flemish food and beverages.

It features both savoury and sweet offerings such as,

Smoked Salmon and Horseradish Cream Savoury Waffles Roquefort and Honeycomb Savoury Waffles Baguettes and gourmet salads Guylian Bombe Au Chocolate, a dark and white chocolate mousse with praline

Guylian says that favourites from its old menu still remain including Sweet Belgian Waffles and hot chocolate. Licensed cafes also offer alcoholic beverages.

The chocolate cafe franchise is currently undergoing a rapid expansion. Australian Food News reported in June 2015 that Guylian has plans to open 30 new stores within Australia over the next four years.

The Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe concept began in 2008. The first Middle East located cafe opened in April 2015 in Abu Dhabi. Plans are in place to open more Middle East based cafes throughout 2015.

Guylian is now owned by South Korea’s Lotte Confectionary group, which took over the Belgian chocolate brand in 2008.
