Victoria Carpets Limited Has Elected to Retire From The Business

Victoria PLC announces that Alan Bullock, Chairman & Managing Director of its principal trading subsidiary, Victoria Carpets Limited has elected to retire from the business and leaves the business with effect from 13 November 2012.

Alan joined the business in 1972 and became Managing Director of Victoria Carpets in 1995.  He was appointed to the PLC Board in 1996 and took on the role of Group Managing Director, a position he held until August this year. 
 
On behalf of all staff, customers and suppliers, the Company would like to thank Alan for his loyal and dedicated service over the last 40 years.  During his tenure, Alan has been a key player securing the Company's long-standing relationships with key brands including John Lewis, Hilton International and the UK's Independent Retail Buying Groups. 
 
As of the same date 13 November 2012, Alan also retires from his positions as Chairman of Westwood Yarns Limited, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, a Director of Victoria's Australian business, Victoria Carpet Company Pty Limited and Colin Campbell and Sons, Vancouver , Canada,  all of which are trading subsidiaries of Victoria PLC. 
 
Alan Bullock commented:
 
"I am retiring from a Company that has a brand that I admire- the team I help recruited over the years have the skills and knowledge to continue to keep Victoria as a leading brand name within an industry which over the years has seen many changes. I wish them all well and thank all the staff around the Group for their loyalty and service and wish them well in the future. I also acknowledge the customers who over the years have been loyal to the brand too."
