When the Metropolitan Regional Council of Carpenters expanded its service area to most of the mid-Atlantic region, its floor covering arm, Local 1823, needed to adjust its marketing program to better reflect the new locales, according to the council. As part of that plan, the public and member websites associated with Local 1823 have changed addresses.
The public’s site, formerly known as installphilly.com is now installmetroatlantic.com and the member site, formerly known as installlocal1823.org is now local1823.com.
Floorcoverers Local 1823 services 10 counties in southeastern Pennsylvania, the states of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, and Washington D.C. Local 1823 represents hundreds of veteran floor layers who work for dozens of contractors who are experts in carpet, resilient, hardwood, underlayment, concrete substrate and polishing, and sports flooring, according to the council.
