SEAMS 2014 Focus on How Textile Can Take Advantage of Opportunities of Consumer Demand

The SEAMS Fall 2014 Networking Conference which begins October 23, 2014, will focus on how apparel, textile and sewn products manufacturers, brands, retailers and suppliers can take advantage of the tangible opportunities of consumer demand.

“The agenda for focusing on these issues features key industry presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities,” the trade body said.

Centred around the theme “Made in the USA is Back: Seize the Opportunity!”, the agenda will cover important industry issues such as workforce training, technology, health insurance, governmental regulations and trade issues.

The trade body adds that attendees will also enjoy a number of networking opportunities, including company introductions, a products/services display area, special networking receptions, group meals and ample breaks.

SEAMS Executive Director - Sarah Friedman says, “With consumers taking more interest in US-made and higher quality products, retailers and their suppliers have responded by reshoring significant programs.”

SEAMS promotes continued growth of the USA fashion, sewn products and textiles industries through educational programs, networking opportunities, business opportunity matchmaking and industry collaboration.

SEAMS members comprise textiles providers, contract manufacturers, brands, vertical retailers and their suppliers and service providers to collectively represent the complete concept-to-consumer supply chain.
