Planglow Will Launch a Packaging Product Lineup

Labeling and eco packaging firm Planglow will launch a packaging product lineup, capable of being disposed of in home and industrial compost, at Lunch Show in September.

Inspired by casual dining, the 11-piece collection has three wedges, including deep-fill, standard-fill and heat seal, and a bloomer pack.

They will be based on Planglow's plant-based film, which extends the shelf life and cuts down on food waste.

Planglow marketing director Rachael Sawtell was quoted by Packaging Europe as saying: "The range utilises natural materials but with a more minimalistic, industrial edge than our other collections and has been developed specifically to support casual dining concepts: a clean, contemporary and sleekly designed range that places quality food products into the spotlight."

After use, the packs can be disposed of as home compost or in domestic food waste bin as the products are both home and industrially compostable.

The company said in a statement: "Planglow has a policy of using materials from sustainable, renewable sources wherever possible and all of its product suppliers are commissioned for their own pro-active environmental best practice.

"Throughout Planglow's extended business, waste is kept to a minimum and recycled wherever possible including off cuts from the paper board production which are repulped back into the board."
