MSM POLY Concludes Equivalence Testing, Announces Production Schedule Timeline for Anobex Acrylonitrile Methyl Acrylate Copolymer Latex Resin

MSM POLY announces that the leading Northern California polymer research laboratory, Bay Materials of Fremont California, has analyzed its Anobex brand acrylonitrile methyl acrylate copolymer (AMAC).

"In our opinion, AMAC (acrylonitrile methyl acrylate copolymer latex resin) and Barex 210 are indistinguishable, exhibiting similar melt flow (viscosity) properties, and strength & toughness at room temperature."

Additional testing such as FTIR and IZOD have also demonstrated equivalence to the legacy product and test results verified by independent third party experts. Bay Materials also observed that the color of the MSM POLY sample was more transparent than the standard sample.

With laboratory sample equivalence demonstrations complete, MSM POLY has now begun production of pilot plant quantities for low volume testing by the three largest global users of the legacy AMAC material. MSM POLY expects that their confirmation of equivalence will be complete by May 2016, and at that time MSM POLY will begin production of low volume (~ metric ton) quantities of Anobex? for initial commercial trials with convertors and end users. Between July and October 2016 MSM POLY will scale up to full commercial production of Anobex? with the capacity to supply the existing market by the beginning of 2017.

MSM POLY is building redundancy into its production supply chain from day one with multiple sites capable of providing the key steps in the manufacturing process so the convertor and end user customer will always have assurance of supply.
