In a press release, Talon a supplier of zippers, apparel fasteners, trim and stretch technology products said it has signed definitive agreement for the same with PVH Corp.

“The agreement is exclusive in North America and non-exclusive in other select countries,” Talon International added in the press release.

According to Talon, Tekfit products deliver cutting-edge innovation to the apparel industry, which transforms an otherwise non-stretchable fabric into a fabric with the ability to stretch and recover.

“This results in an unusually comfortable, flexible shirt collar without compromising the style, look or feel of the garment, with only the wearer knowing about the stretch in the collar,” it explained.

CEO of Talon, Larry Dyne said, “To have a partner like this in an exclusive supply agreement certainly identifies the uniqueness of Talon’s Tekfit stretch technology and highlights it’s various applications.”

“This agreement brings the unique, Tekfit stretch technology to millions of men’s dress shirts, allowing expandable collar comfort with ½ inch of stretch,” he too added.

“The license agreement also provides for PVH and Talon to co-brand the dress shirts to identify the Tekfit technology to assist consumers in identifying and choosing products with a Tekfit stretch collar,” Dyne stated.

David Sirkin, president, Dress Shirts at PVH said, “We believe that by using Tekfit stretch technology into our Van Heusen dress shirts, we will be the first to bring a comfortable solution to the dress shirt.”

“The FlexCollar is part of our continuing efforts to deliver innovative and differentiated product to our consumers,” he noted.
