Rush Said It Has Acquired a Total of 10 Dealer Locations in Illinois and Indiana.

Rush Enterprises Inc., based in San Antonio, said it has acquired a total of 10 dealer locations in Illinois and Indiana.

The company paid a total of about $145 million to buy certain assets of Chicago International Trucks, Indy Truck Sales and Indiana Mack Leasing, as well as membership interests of Idealease of Chicago, it said Jan. 14.

The acquisition includes International commercial truck dealerships and Idealease commercial vehicle rental and leasing businesses in Carol Stream, Chicago, Grayslake, Huntley, Joliet, Kankakee and Ottawa in  Illinois, and Brazil, Gary and Indianapolis in Indiana.

The locations will operate as part of the company's Navistar Division in a newly formed Midwest region that also includes locations in Kansas and Missouri. Rush now operates 107 Rush Truck Centers in 20 states.

Rush also announced that Shelby Howard was named regional general manager of the Midwest region. Howard had been the principal of the Chicago and Indy dealerships, the company said.
