Pro Mach Acquired Tekkra Systems for an Undisclosed Value

Packaging equipment manufacturer Pro Mach has acquired the US-based shrink wrapping and bundling machinery manufacturer Tekkra Systems for an undisclosed value.

Following the transaction, Tekkra will join Pro Mach's new Flexible Packaging Group, which produces Matrix vertical form fill and seal systems, Rennco vertical bagging systems, Toyo Jidoki pouch packaging systems, as well as Inever stickpack and sachet packaging systems.

With the move, Pro Mach expects to strengthen its flexible packaging segment.

Pro Mach Flexible Packaging Group senior vice president Troy Snader said the company is enthusiastic about adding the Tekkra line to its product portfolio.

"They complement our existing offering and will allow us to provide customers with a wide range of high quality flexible packaging solutions," Snader added.

After completion of the transaction, Tekkra Systems president Eric Vorm will join Pro Mach as vice president and general manager of Tekkra and work under Pro Mach End of Line and Flexible Packaging Groups president Barry Heiser.

Eric Vorm said as part of Pro Mach, the company will be able to provide its customers with an integrated product line across their end-of-line and flexible packaging operations.

"We also have an outstanding opportunity to expand our capabilities and create synergies with other Pro Mach brands that provide the most effective solutions for our customer's unique needs," Vorm added.
