The Output of Italy's Crude Steel Decreased by 10.3 Percent

In June this year, Italian crude steel output decreased by 10.3 percent year on year to 2.188 million metric tons, according to the figures released by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai. June is the 15th month in a row in which a year-on-year fall in output has been witnessed and is the eighth month in a row in which the percentage decrease has been in double digits.

In the January-June period of the current year, total Italian crude steel output amounted to 12.679 million mt, down by over 2 million mt or by 14.8 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
