NWR Has Reached Agreements with Its Customers for Coking Coal Sales

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal sales for the third quarter of the current year.

Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the third quarter of this year at €85/mt, up one percent compared to the second quarter realized price.

NWR also announced its production and sales results for the second quarter. In the given period, the company produced 2.27 million mt of coking and thermal coal, while its coking coal sales reached 1.30 million mt. In the first half of the current year, NWR produced 4.50 million mt of coking and thermal coal, while its coking coal sales amounted to 2.54 million mt.

The company maintains its guidance of 9-9.5 million mt of coal production and sales for 2014, with 55-60 percent of coking coal and 45-40 percent of thermal coal in the sales mix.
