Bosch Packaging Technology Will Introduce Its New Bar Packaging System

Bosch Packaging Technology will introduce its new bar packaging system for confectionery manufacturers at Pack Expo 2013.

At the event, the primary packaging technology on showcase will consist of the new Sigpack DCI distribution station as well as the Sigpack HRM horizontal flow wrapping machine with splicer.

To create a new system designed for the primary and secondary packaging of bars and bar-shaped products, the machines can be integrated with the Sigpack toploader.

Bosch product manager Philipp Schenker said, "With the new bar packaging line, Bosch has designed a system with the operator in mind that reduces necessary manual operation and allows for high speeds of up to 1,500 bars per minute."

The speeds of all components in the line are balanced to do away with bottlenecks and minimize downtime, in order to achieve optimized production flow.

According to Bosch, the upgraded Sigpack bar line can deliver an overall output of more than 1,500 bars per minute and up to 150 cartons per minute.

The bar packaging system, including distribution station, accumulator, flow wrapper, toploader as well as all interfaces, are said to be part of a single design, making operation of the complete line simple.
