Aptar has introduced new inverted pouch dispensing solution, Sierra, for the STANDCAP pouch.

The new packaging format has been developed to offer enhanced shelf visibility for brands and avoid the use of utensils when dispensing.

The STANDCAP pouch has been designed to be used for food products such as dairy, sauces and condiments, spreads, jellies, honey and salad dressing.

The pouch can also be used for beauty and home products, including lotions, shampoo and conditioners, sun care, dish care and automotive.

Sierra closure features a flip-lid with a customizable SimpliSqueeze valve that offers controlled dispensing and clean product cut off.

The closure, which enables one-handed opening and closing, offers stability for the whole package.

In addition, the Sierra closure includes a built-in and tamper evident pull-ring, allowing to keep product fresh and safety.

Aptar has collaborated with Glenroy as premade pouch supplier. Glenroy is said to leverage Volpak’s converting technology to deliver STANDCAP as a premade pouch, while Viking Masek as the provider of fill and seal equipment.

The company is exhibiting Sierra closure at this year’s PackExpo event in Las Vegas. The evnt is being held from 25 to 28 September.

In May, Aptar Food + Beverage and GualapackGroup have partnered to introduce a premade no-spill spouted pouch solution for the European beverage market.

The new no-spill pouch fitment combines Aptar’s SimpliSqueeze valve in the squeezable and easy-to-use spouted pouch of GualapackGroup's Cheer Pack.
