Pagani Zonda Revolucion Has Been Confirmed as The Final Iteration of The Italian Supercar

Pagani Zonda Revolucion: Final Edition Revealed

After 14 years of production, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion has been confirmed as the final iteration of the legendary Italian supercar.

An evolution of the original Pagani Zonda that debuted in 1999, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion teams its 1070kg mass with 588kW of power and 730Nm of torque from a revised version of the Pagani Zonda R’s 6.0-litre V12 AMG Mercedes-Benz-sourced engine.

Built to impress on track as much as in a car collection, the rear-wheel-drive Zonda Revolucion is built around a central carbon-titanium monocoque and uses a six-speed sequential gearbox able to shift ratios in 20 milliseconds.

A 12-way adjustable traction control system developed by Bosch and a new anti-lock braking system allow drivers to adapt the car’s behaviour to a specific driving style.

New aerodynamics also feature with deflectors on the bonnet, a vertical stabiliser mounted to the rear and Pagani’s own Formula One-style DRS (Drag Reduction System) fitted to the large rear wing.

Either manually activated by the driver at any time or automatically engaged according to algorithms developed by Pagani Automobili engineers, the DRS improves ultimate performance by altering downforce depending on lateral acceleration and vehicle speed.

New Brembo brakes with carbon ceramic discs derived from Formula 1 technology see an increase in braking power along with a weight saving of 15 per cent compared with previous setups.

Pagani Automobili founder Horacio Pagani said he was sure the final Zonda would electrify all its customers and fans all over the world.

“We knew that Pagani Zonda R was already a fast car, the fastest ever on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. We knew it would be very difficult to design and build a car that was even more extreme. But thanks to the creativity of our designers, engineers, and the whole Pagani family, we created a beautiful object and the fastest Pagani vehicle ever.”

Priced at 2.2 million euros ($2.98 million) plus taxes, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion is on sale now.
