The Performance Days Organizers Have Proven Over and Over Again in Recent Years

In November 2012, the most important professional trade fair for functional fabrics, Performance Days will enter its ninth round. The trade fair of superlatives: More exhibits, more space, and super benefits make this trade fair more effective and more valuable for exhibitors and visitors. One highlight: QR codes that provide digital information about every fabric in the Performance Forum.

The Performance Days organizers have proven over and over again in recent years that they are not shy about new ideas. Constant innovation has rapidly made this trade fair an absolute must-attend-event within the industry, one that no purchasing agent in the area of sportswear, workwear, and activewear would want to miss. Encouraged by the praise received for the last successful season, the team supporting the Weichert founding family has come up with still more advanced developments: Work professionally, get information quickly: Next scheduled to take place on November 12-14, 2012, the trade fair is introducing a new search tool that is more effective and simplifies the work for the visitor.

The time tested and popular Performance Forum will be equipped with an additional benefit. For the first time, each fabric on display will have its own QR code. When these are scanned into a mobile phone reader, the buyer has all the relevant information about the product literally at his fingertips in just a fraction of a second. The digital data sheet includes manufacturer and product name, stand number, item number, material composition, and specific fabric information, weight, table number, and position. In this way, each buyer can create a shopping list or a personal fabrics library and the corresponding exhibitor is just a click away.    Bigger space, more exhibitors: Once again the trade fair which started as a roadshow, has taken up permanent occupancy - as in May 2012, Munich is now the sole exhibit location. This decision has proven to be a correct one as evidenced by the current number of exhibitors and visitor pre-registrations. An again, it consists of a series of superlatives: The exhibit has never before sold out as early as this time; never before has there been so much floor space: Based on demand, we have opened a fourth hall to provide approximately 20 percent more space in November! The number of exhibitors grew by 6 percent. Many of the former joint exhibit stands have been converted to favor individual locations. This means: More merchandise, better presentations, more intensive work - all of the things to be expected from a top quality sourcing trade event!

Top quality exhibitors, international guests: Performance Days has grown into a truly international trade fair as shown, already one month in advance of the opening, by the list of exhibitors as well as the number of pre-registered guests. We have commitments from nearly all of the European countries plus visitors from the USA and Canada, and now, for the first time, even Brazil!

The list of exhibitors is just as impressive: Well-known companies like Schoeller Textiles, Eurojersey, YKK, Advansa, PrimaLoft, Thermore, Pertex, Pontetorto, Maxland, IBQ, ACG and EA Shinn will be there. In addition, the trade fair is proud to welcome several new exhibitors like Chang Ho, Sunny Special Dyeing, and Trueway (all Taiwan), and M.AR.C, Fait Plast, and Macpi from Italy, Optimer Brands from USA, and Amaterrace from Japan, just to mention a few.

The exhibitors from 18 countries are arriving from all four corners of the globe: Taiwan and Japan in the east, USA in the west, Sweden in the north, and Spain and Greece in the south. All major textile producing nations are represented.

Informative supporting programs, virtual meeting point: The supporting events are also worth taking a look. Integrated into four lead topics, Fabrics, Trends, Technologies, and Sustainability, we are again offering the popular and informative lecturer series, including Nora Kühner (IDEAS), Claudia Rehbein (REHBI), and the companies Schoeller, Koppermann, and PrimaLoft. Ulrike Arlt is returning as the keynote speaker for the fabrics of the Performance Forum. Other well received elements of the trade fair are also being continued such as the design project with ESMOD fashion school (Munich). This time, the second year students will present their mood boards on the theme "Sport and Comfort" and surely provide you with some inspiration.
