Cheetham Set to Retire From Top Job at MPS

The president for pharmaceutical and healthcare operations is to retire from the business. Mark Wenham, formerly responsible for the division’s operations in the UK, Ireland and Asia, has been promoted to executive vice president – Healthcare Europe.

Wenham will assume Cheetham’s responsibilities for healthcare packaging across Europe and will report to Marc Shore, chief executive.

Cheetham joined MPS in its Boxmore guise in 1996, as managing director. He was made chief executive of Chesapeake in 2011 and played a role in developing and implementing the strategy for the merger with US-based MPS at the end of last year.

Shore said: “I’ve enjoyed working with Mike on the integration of the business and will miss our camaraderie and daily collaborations. I am pleased to confirm that Mike will continue to work with the senior management team on special projects. We are grateful for Mike’s tremendous contribution to the business over what has been a wonderful career and wish him every success in the future.”
