Scania FEL Garbage Truck Provides Best Solutions for SUEZ

SUEZ Great Britain Reuse & Recycle Co., Ltd. (Its name was Great Britain SITA Co., Ltd.  before March, 2015. Thereafter it is shorted as “SUEZ”), the multinational resource recycle specialist procured 7 FEL garbage truck produced by HEIL FARID in Europe. This batch of garbage trucks are equipped with the Scania chassis of Allison automated transmission.

SUEZ contacted six big truck manufacturers in Europe and and eventually chose HEIL FARID Corporation, the sanitation truck manufacturer, to produce trucks for it. HEIL FARID Corporation is the only one that can provide FEL trucks equipped with Allison 4500X automated transmission.

Allison automated transmission, favored by sanitation truck fleets all over the world, has the incomparable advantages in operation cost, production efficiency, maneuverability and safety. Allison 4000 series automated transmission, specially designed for heavy-duty truck, makes the operation of vehicles stable with high efficiency. It provides speed proportion of wide and narrow gear. The gears are as much as seven, including two overdrive gears and the second reverse gear. The input total torque of 4500X transmission reaches 2,102 N•M, and its input total power reaches 500 horsepower(373 Kwatt).

Brian Juffs, the General Manager of SUEZ truck fleet, said that “Automated FEL garbage truck is crucial for us. Because those trucks need to work under great amounts of short-distance operations, including large quantities of forwards and backwards. Especially those trucks need to collect industrial garbage for 50-60 times in 16 hours every day. The automation system with two foot-boards cannot guarantee the reliability of a truck. We hope that we can use a reliable transmission without changing the clutch in the whole life cycle of a truck.
