Gerresheimer to Exhibit Opal Glass Bottles and Jars at Luxepack Event in Monaco

German primary packaging solutions provider Gerresheimer is set to exhibit its opal glass bottles and jars at this year’s LuxePack event in Monaco.

The event will take place between 2 and 4 October.

At the event, the company will exhibit bottles and jars made from opal glass, which can be used by the customers in the fragrance and cosmetics sector.

Gerresheimer’ moulded glass business unit produces a range of glass primary packaging products, which can be used for fragrances, skin care and color cosmetics.

The company produces different glass colors such as flint, amber, opal, as well as several lines for feeder coloration.

The company’s opal glass furnace is situated at Gerresheimer Momignies in Belgium. It has been recently overhauled and installed with advanced technology.

Gerresheimer cosmetics sales senior director Bernd Stauch said: “Opal glass is currently experiencing a remarkable revival.

“Not only has it been discovered by the fragrance and cosmetics sector, but it is also ideal for bottling high-quality spirits, for example, such as the stylish bottle used for ‘Generous Gin’.”

Gerresheimer unveiled new packaging designs for cosmetic products at Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France.

At the event, the company showcased two examples in the form of its packaging for "Rose Face Mask" by Fresh and "Génifique" by Lancôme.

Gerresheimer, which offers specialty glass and plastic products, operates facilities in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

The company provides packaging solutions for the cosmetics industry, as well as pharmaceutical packaging solutions.
