The Trolley-Type Press Has Been Designed to Provide Ease of Machine Operation

Packaging materials manufacturer Packages Lanka has introduced its new Bobst Rotomec 4003 gravure printing press.

According to Bobst, the eight-colour Rotomec 4003 printing line will be added to Packages Lanka's existing gravure printing machines at a newly constructed production facility.

The trolley-type press has been designed to provide ease of machine operation enabling the operator to perform a complete trolley change in a single operation.

Complete integration of the electronic shaft with Bobst Registron S5100 register control system results in better register correction allowing improvement of press productivity and sustainability by cutting down waste significantly.

The printing press will play a major part in Packages Lanka's continuous drive towards business expansion, in line with its policy of investing in advanced equipment technology.

Packages Lanka managing director Rizwan Ghani said it is an important criterion in the company's investment choices.

"Here we run BOBST gravure and flexo presses for flexible packaging and there are several BOBST machines, including board printing & converting that are in operation in the other facilities of the Group," Ghani said.

Packages Lanka, which operates as a subsidiary of Pakistan-based Packages Limited Group, focuses mainly on food, tea, confectionery, household & personal care, apparel industries and exports.
