Coveris Unveils Nextrus Boneless Shrink Bags

Global packaging company Coveris has developed new packaging solutions, Nextrus boneless shrink bags.

The Nextrus line is designed to allow for vacuum tightness with less packaging and is said to be eco-friendly alternative to current products in the marketplace.

Coveris marketing director Rebecca Casey said: “Our new and innovative Nextrus line features premium gloss that creates a low level of haze, allowing the product to shine through with maximum clarity and visibility.

“This reassures consumers that they are purchasing the freshest meat available.”

The new bags feature newly engineered environmentally friendly resins, which will ensure superior seal integrity by reducing leaks.

Additionally, Nextrus bags utilize a barrier system designed to eliminate yellowing tendencies of traditional protein packaging solutions.

Coveris said that the bag’s outside PET layer and 10-color front and back printing promotes the product brand. It also shines on the shelf, attracting customers.

The company plans to present the Nextrus boneless shrink bags and other solutions at Pack Expo 2016 scheduled to be held from 6-9 November in Chicago, Illinois, US.

In September, Coveris introduced a new range of drinks labels designed for the smoothie brand Innocent in the UK and European markets.

The new transparent labels use specially developed ink technology, allowing for new design’s signature color stamp with improved product visibility.
