New Technology Integrated to General Electric’S New 100-W Equivalent Led Bulb

General Electric,s Energy Smart LED bulb, a new 100-W equivalent LED light bulb was recently unveiled at the Las Vegas Light Fair conference. This bulb utilizes only 27 W, though having the same light generation capability as that of 100-W conventional bulb. This bulb generates 1,600 lm of light. Having a color temperature of 3000 K (white light), this highly durable bulb can endure 23 years with three hours of operation per day.

LED lamps usually generate enormous heat, reducing the bulb's life. To increase the lifetime, Nuventix Company has integrated 'synthetic jet cooling technology'. Here, a current of cool air has been produced due to the vibration of GE bulb housing the diaphragm. After a year-long GE's new collaborative innovative technology development, light bulb can be advanced.

The Energy Smart LED bulb will be available by early 2013 and will be offered at a cost-effective price.

According to the consumers, light bulbs are delicate, affordable and semi-disposable products. A more advanced, cost-effective and durable solution has been introduced, thereby outsmarting the traditional ones.
