CFIA and Leese Enterprises Recalled Simply Lite Brand Dark Chocolate Over Labeling Issue

Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Leese Enterprises International have recalled Simply Lite brand Dark Chocolate over labeling issue.

The authorities have urged the users with allergy towards milk to not use the products as it contains milk which has not been represented over the label.

Simply Lite brand's 50% Cacao Low Carb Sugar Free Dark Chocolate that has been made available in 85g pack has been recalled.

Consumption of the product by persons with allergy to milk may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The recall follows results of tests conducted by CFIA regarding food safety investigation, which is expected to recall other products as well.
