Self-adhesive technology provider Herma has delivered a new wrap-around labeling system, Herma 040M, to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics in Germany.
The delivery is part of Siemens' new filling and labeling line being installed at its Marburg facility in the region.
The new Herma system is capable of applying labels to four-sided plastic containers for diagnostic fluid with a single label on three sides, which is also known as U-labeling.
Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics project manager Jens Geisel said, "The modular structure of the Herma system from proven standard components guarantees a high level of reliability, but is flexible enough at the same time that we were able to easily implement a number of individual special requests."
Herma 040M features a rotary star that allows it to apply labels to about 60 plastic containers per minute and is controlled using a touch-screen.
