San Clemente, Calif. – Advanced MP Technology, Inc., an industry leader in the electronic components distribution & enhanced supply chain services for over 35 years, is hosting an on-site Counterfeit Components Workshop in collaboration with IDEA and taught by EPTAC on Oct 27th, 2014 at its global headquarters in San Clemente, California.
The one day workshop will provide an introduction to counterfeit mitigation as well as an introduction to IDEA-STD-1010: Acceptability of Electronic Components Distributed in the Open Market, a well respected QC inspection manual. This workshop includes training in methods for the critical first step of visual detection of counterfeit and substandard characteristics through a hands-on seminar. With on-site microscopic magnification, participants will have a unique opportunity to acquire skills to examine real components and experience of visual inspection techniques of IDEA-STD-1010 and learn how most common counterfeit components are visually detected.
