Central National Gottesman (CNG), a sales and marketing organization in the global pulp, paper and forest products industry, announced today that its Lindenmeyr Munroe division will acquire the business of C.J. Duffey Paper Company in Minneapolis and Duluth, strengthening Lindenmeyr Munroe’s sales force and expanding its presence in the Midwest market.
Headquartered in Minneapolis, C.J. Duffey has served the Midwest print community since its founding in 1945. The company is managed by second- and third-generation family members, and maintains the same integrity and professionalism embodied in its distinguished history.
"The acquisition of C.J. Duffey underscores our commitment to the paper distribution business in North America," said Andrew Wallach, CNG President and Chief Executive Officer. "The company enjoys a rich 70-year history in the Midwest, and we look forward to building on its strong presence in the region."
Lindenmeyr Munroe President Bill Meany added that the acquisition is a great fit for his organization, the largest privately held, independent paper merchant in the U.S. and a leading distributor of quality commercial printing papers, business and communications paper, and packaging products.

The transaction is expected to close March 31, 2016.
