Edgewater Technology (EDGW) has signed an agreement with a privately-held company Flexible Architecture, Simplified Technology (FAST) to deliver next-generation process centric policy administration technologies to the insurance industry.
Under the terms of the agreement, Edgewater will merge its process-centric approach to requirements and design directly with FAST's development and delivery model.
Edgewater chairman, president and CEO Shirley Singleton said that the team will provide enterprise software development and deployment to a new level of 'mobile-like' modularization.
A shared vision of the future for Insurance software development and rollout will be created by integrating FAST's process-driven modules with Edgewater's growing cloud-based services.
"By moving from monolithic systems development and deployment to loosely coupled process-driven modules, insurance companies are better positioned to manage risk as they look to replace and refresh legacy policy administration systems either piecemeal or as a whole," Singleton added.
