ProQuip and Solarize Energy Celebrated The Opening of The 675KW AC Solar Energy Project

ProQuip International and Solarize Energy recently celebrated the official opening of the 675kW AC solar energy project on the cattle barns of Van Osch Farms Ltd. in Crediton, Ont.

According to ProQuip, who provided the EPC services for the project, the installation is ranked as one of the largest rooftop solar panel system on an Ontario farm to date. The project entailed the mounting and cabling of 3393 solar panels on five barn roofs in three main farm locations, and interconnecting them to three centralized inverter cabinets and the metered grid connections.

Several area dignitaries were present, as were other farm and agricultural industry operators.

“The second income source comes as a bonus,” said Gerald Van Osch, co-owner of the farms with his brother Fred. “To capture the sunshine, what an idea. You never have to plant; you just harvest.”

Presentations by speakers included Sam Tavernese, president of ProQuip who said, “ProQuip International congratulates Solarize Energy on this fantastic solar development. ProQuip is proud and privileged to have provided the engineering, procurement and construction services to this project.”

“Solar power represents the future and those of us privileged to be in the solar industry take our motivation from waking up everyday and saying ‘I’m going to make something good happen today’,” he continued.
