Chickpea Puff Brand Hippeas Designs New Packaging for Two Variants

Chickpea puff brand Hippeas has designed new packaging for its sweet and smokin’, and cheese and love variants.

Tesco and Asda stores will stock both variants, which are packed in bold yellow packets.

The new packaging clearly shows chickpea puff on the front of the pack, as well as bright color strips to highlight the different flavors.

Cheese and love are tangy and tasty puffs, while sweet and smokin’ are paprika spice and smoked seal salt puffs.

Hippeas, which is a lighter alternative to crisps, was introduced in the UK in August 2016.

Hippeas is also available in two other flavors, including far out fajita and herbs we trust.

In May, Hippeas announced that it secured funding from Strand Equity Partners to fuel growth of the brand.

Hippeas organic chickpea puffs are available in 22g packs at a price of £0.99, as well as 78g sharing bags at a price of £1.99.

Hippeas products are organic, good source of protein and fibre. It is also free from gluten, additives and preservatives.

The products are vegan and packed with good vibes, said the brand.

Hippeas UK and Europe managing director Craig Hughes said: “The launch into Tesco and Asda is a big win for Hippeas.

“Supported with our new-look packaging, which puts the puff front and centre on shelf, we look forward to even more consumers giving peas a chance over the coming months.”
