Leclerc Foods USA Has Purchased a New Facility at Freeport Business Center

Leclerc Foods USA, a Canadian cookie, snack bar and crackers producer, has purchased a new facility at Freeport Business Center to strengthen its food manufacturing capabilities in Phoenix, Arizona.

The investment is in line with the company's business vision and corporate development strategy, and will create 100 new jobs.

It will allow Leclerc Foods USA to establish strategic locations to serve markets such as the West Coast, Mexico and South America.

Featuring a production line for nutritional bars, the plant will offer a wide range of organic and GMO-free products.

Leclerc Foods USA president Denis Leclerc said, "Not only are we increasing our production capacity, but we will also achieve substantial savings on transportation costs by being closer to key markets."

Arizona Commerce Authority president and CEO Sandra Watson said, "Our strategic Southwest location, proximity to key regional growth markets, and competitive cost of doing business continue to be a magnet for global companies, and we are pleased to welcome Leclerc to Arizona."

Established in 1905, Leclerc Foods USA runs facilities in Quebec and Ontario, Canada; Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Arizona. The company exports its products to more than 20 countries.
