Volkswagen Has Reported 10.4% Rise in Its Vehicle Sales to 8.29 Million Units

German carmaker Volkswagen has reported 10.4% rise in its vehicle sales to 8.29 million units during January to November 2012 period, compared to 7.51 million units during the same period in 2011.

Nearly 3.40 million vehicles were sold in the European market during the initial eleven months of 2012, while the carmaker's sales on the American continent rose 26.1% to 757,300 units as well as a 19.5 % growth in Asia-Pacific region to 2.86 million units.

However, the number of vehicles delivered by the carmaker's subsidiaries including Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi and ?KODA increased 11.2%, 12.7% and 6.9% while SEAT's sales declined 8.2% during the initial eleven months of 2012.

The deliveries of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles increased 4.6% to 501,000 units in the period to November, with 113,200 vehicle sold in Germany and 37,700 units delivered to customers in Central and Eastern Europe, while Porsche sold 47,400 vehicles fromAugust to November 2012.

During November, the carmaker sold 794,500 units, an increase of 11.7%, compared to 711,500 units sold during the corresponding month last year.
