15,117 Professional Trade Visitors Are Presented by 311 Companies From 21 Countries

The 15th Heimtextil Russia opened its doors from 25 to 27 September at the IEC Crocus Expo in Moscow, Russia and gathered the key players of the international textile business

Always spectacular, Heimtextil Russia represents a highlight for the industry. This year, a total of 15,117 professional trade visitors saw the best collections of textile and wall coverings, presented by 311 companies from 21 countries: Austria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Germany, Greece, Egypt, India, Spain, China, Moldova, UAE, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, USA, Taiwan, Tailand, Turkey, France. Once again, the national pavilions of Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Pakistan, Portugal, Turkey participated as well as, newcomer pavilions from India and Taiwan.

Leaders of the home and interior textile industry took part in Heimtextil Russia 2013, and among them such representatives of the Russian market as DECOLUX, Ujut, Rich Art, Teatr Tkaney, Decoline, Livena Lux, Hometex, Liontex, Monolit.

The latest collections of international textiles were exhibited by Eke, Hefel, Texathenea, Aydin Orme, Sleepwell Kauffmann, Zorlu, Angelo Carillo & C S.p.A., Welspun Global Brands Ltd, etc. Already traditional for Heimtextil Russia is the special show for wallpaper and wall coverings, included the leading Russian and foreign companies KT Exclusive, LeDimore, Art-Master and Pan-El.

Mr. Eugen Alles, General Director of Messe Frankfurt RUS, announced that “this year, Heimtextil Russia showed the best results ever. A professional, trendy exposition, with a comprehensive fringe programme, presentations of the world’s leading designers and a competition for young designers and architects took the Fair to a new level of its development.

Heimtextil Russia tries to make visiting the exposition maximally effective and convenient for its visitors. This year, the fair presented a new online platform, also availibale as a mobile application for Android and iOS. Fair visitors could download this application and use it to check the Fair exposition and plan their schedule correctly for the maximum benefit.   

Official partner of the fair was Solo Office Interiors, a multibrand company, oriented at the sales of office furniture, lights and panels of large European manufacturers. Solo Office Interiors provided furniture for Green Room and Business Lounge.

Leading industry event in Russia shows latest textile trends and inspirations in home and interior design market

Heimtextil Russia is not only a show for textiles; but it presents ideas, inspiration and design. In 2013, Heimtextil Russia used the motto of Heimtextil 2013/2014 Being trend book “Who we are and how we live”. The concept zone, named Passion Area and combined with the fringe programme was decorated by the Fair partner KAVER DESIGN studio according to the Heimtextil 2013/2014 trends.

"The fabrics and pillows for decoration of the Passion Area were kindly provided by KT Exclusive, Dr. Deco, Anka, Apolena, Decolux, Eastern Silk, Polosvet, Cegi, Semiramis, Ozkan Merve, Pavlovo-Posadsky Shelk, Neutex, Cevikel and others. General Media Partner ELLE Decoration magazine provided RED IK HORSE by designer Kamil Ismailov. These benches in the shape of full size red horses became popular among the Moscovites after their appearance on the main Moscow art grounds. The red horses ideally complemented the general composition of the Passion Area.

The fringe programme with workshops and seminars of the leading European and Russian designers was held in these surrealistic settings. The Dutch designer Ms. Anne Marie Commandeur (stijlinstituut amsterdam design studio), who was responsible for the creation of Heimtextil Trend-book 2013/2014 “Being”, presented Heimtextil Trends 2013/2014 during the first two days of the Fair.

Peter Ketley, Director of the English company Harlequin, demonstrated new collections of fabrics and wall coverings of the world famous brand. Irina Samokhina, a teacher of the International Design School and Milla Rezanova, the famous Moscow designer and founder of Covi Club also conducted workshops, that generated great interest among the visitors.

Heimtextil Russia always cooperates with professional designers and looks for new talents. In 2012, KAVER DESIGN studio was the winner of the design competition, and starting in 2013, the studio began to work in cooperation with Heimtextil Russia as a new fair partner.

Also within the framework of Heimtextil Russia 2013 and with participation of Covi Club and ELLE Decoration magazine, a design contest was held for the best 3D-interior following the four themes of the Heimtextil 2013/2014 Trend Book. The results of the independent expert jury were: First prize - Anton Medvedev, The Geologist project; second prize - Olga Ladurko, The Eccentrik project; third winner - Donara Dolgopolskaya, The Inventor project  and the winner of the People’s Choice Award is Valeria Samsonova for The Geologist project. Heimtextil Russia congratulates the winners and wishes them further creative success!

Heimtextil Russia reaches new level of quantitative and qualitative growth

Every year Heimtextil Russia improves its quantitative and qualitative results. The visitors noted the integral professionally decorated exposition of the Fair. The organizers held a contest for the best booth decoration, and the winners were the Russian company “EliteMos-Tex” and the Austrian company Sleepwell Kauffmann GmbH. Some national pavilions were also recognized in different catagories: the Spanish pavilion was sited as the most colourful, the Turkish pavilion was voted the largest, the Portugal pavilion – the lightest and the German was recognized as the most technological.

In 2013, Heimtextil Russia was again held concurrently with R+T Russia, the International Trade Fair for Roller Shutters, Gates, Windows and Sun Protection Systems. The two complementing expositions occupied the neigbouring halls of Pavilion 1 at the IEC Crocus Expo. This synergetic cooperation gives industry specialists a wonderful opportunity to visit these two complementary events and to discover various interior and architectural solutions.
